Nope. I'm not Asian enough. :D

Japanese Language Centre
I was in the Fuyu (Winter) Team! Activities at the Japanese Language Centre were entertaining. We listened to interviews, played a Katana game, made comics on a computer and had a relay. Fuyu won the relay but unfortunately, Fuyu did not do very well in all the games and came last or third last. We also posed for photos with fans and samurai swords.
We were given rice crackers and orange/apple juice for snacks and an Obento for lunch. It was nice but I have to say, I like Vietnamese food better. Ahehe.

how do you get nice skin?
I'm crazy about having nice skin. Sometimes my skin can look great but occasionally, I have breakouts as well. What I do for nice skin:
1. Eat healthy. Have lots of greens and fruits and do not eat fat/ oily foods. I think it's important to eat healthy. Some people say diet doesn't have anything to do with good skin but in my opinion, it does.
2. DRINK LOTS OF WATER. I don't know the specifics to why it helps, but it does. I've noticed that drinking lots of water, reduced my pimples.
3. Get enough sleep! For a whole term, I'd been staying up late to do work and assignments. Not a good idea. Swollen, panda eyes and lots of pimples.
4. Clean your face day/night. I've been using Cetaphil for a month, after Lisa Lai told me about it. It's very gentle cleanser and its nice and cold on your face. Cleaning your face can even be as simple as wetting a face towel and wiping your face with it. No need for crazy exfoliating or anything. Exfoliating once a week is enough.
Oh one more thing. If you don't want to spend money on cleansers, make them yourself. Try green tea, sugar + honey + tea. The second one is great for exfoliating.
That's probably the 4 most important steps I follow to get nice skin. Yes.

Hugs and Hellos
So first week is over, woohoo. I can't say I'm looking forward to the long weekend either. It's only been a week of school and I am already struggling to keep up with assignments and work. We're starting to receive mini slips notifying us for the upcoming Half-Yearlies too and they make me feel nervous all over.Recap of first week -
Tuesday - Hugs and hellos. I had to study for Peak Science from 7-11pm. The next morning, I woke up at 5:30am to study some more. Man, it's going to be disappointing if I don't do well in that test.
Wednesday - Hockey B team was defeated by A team - 11 to 3. Awwh :( Peak Science test was hard.
Thursday - We were told that we would be given a History quiz the next day. I went home and wrote notes for History till late. We had guests over too and I had to keep them company. It's rude otherwise. Woke up at 6am to study for the quiz as well.
Friday - Anzac ceremony! I thought all the speakers spoke very well. I was listening so they had to be good. I especially liked Margaret's speech. PE was fun but I've got to say, AFL has too many rules. Trains rides are fun fun fun. Truong was horrible. We're doing Polynomials at the moment and they are not easy. I was dog tired that afternoon and I didn't really keep on track with the lesson. I had to go home and redo all the class questions.
So that's my first week back to school. I can already feel pressure building up. Oh well, with every rise there's a fall, so I'm sure Half-Yearlies won't be too hard to cope with and after yearlies, my more relaxed life will settle back in for another couple of months. I'm looking forward to the Japanese excursion and cross-country next week! YAY!

Toy Story 3
Last week of holidays. No! I haven't even started on my geography assignment. Somebody, please kick my ass. I've done most of my homework, haven't started English assignment either and have written no notes. Why is school is hard?

Holy Basil!
After we finished eating, my mum told me to ask for the check but I had food stuck in my braces and didn't want to talk. My grandma asked this young guy for the check in Chinese and he understood her. He came back with the check and my grandma asked him if he was Cantonese in Chinese. My mum thought he didn't understand so she said, "My mother thinks you're Chinese."
"I am Chinese." He told us. Ahaha. Well, it was funny, but I can't seem to recount it the same way.
We were walking to the car-park when we saw this massive asian grocery supermarket. I can't remember the name but it was huge! There was a butcher in the asian grocery. How rare is that? We stayed in there for about half an hour. I was looking at imported American soaps and lotions when a guy came up to me and asked if i wanted to try some lotion. I said, "Lotion? Yes please. " It smelt of mango. Really nice lotion but I didn't buy it. I have too many lotions at home already.
I went home and ate the pudding that my dad and I made earlier today. It's nice. I'll post the recipe up if anyone's interested.

Jam Yoghurt
Try it at home if you happen to only have vanilla yoghurt at home. It's quite nice. I think 3 teaspoons of jam for every 2 ice cream scoops of yoghurt is a good proportion. Remember to blend it properly, otherwise you might end up eating plain vanilla yoghurt then a big chunk of jam.
Yes. I heard that Geo assignment is really hard so I should get started. Toodles!

Chocolate and Dramas

So the plan was to study hardcore on Easter Holidays. First two days haven't gone as planned at all.
I've cleaned up my study because I only study in a clean environment. All my books are neat and organised and I've got a 'To do' list worked out. I'm ready to kick butt at studying but the thing is, I can't seem to! Yes, call it procrastinating or whatever word suits your fancy. Stupid Internet.
What did I do before blogging? Well that's easy to recount.
I woke up at 8:46am today. Brushed my teeth and splashed my face with water to fully wake myself up. Cleaned up the house a little. Made myself four pieces of toast and a cereal bowl of Nutrigrain - Ironman Food. Yes, I eat alot on the holidays. I tend to come back to school as a rolling ball. :D
After breakfast, I made myself a cup of tea, turned on the TV and watched Shining Inheritance till 1pm. What a FRICKIN WASTE OF TIME. The drama's okay, not something worthy of remembering but. Well, I don't remember things in general anyway, ahaha. The guy holding the bouquet of yellow roses is so sweet to the girl in the green cardigan. The guy in the gray vest is a spoilt brat. The girl in green is super super cute and the other girl, I don't fancy her much because her mum is a witch. Ahehehe. I haven't finished the drama but I think the guy holding the roses will be heartbroken at the end of the drama because the girl in green will probably love the spoilt brat loser. AHHH! Okay, honestly, he's not too bad but I'd rather the girl in green love the guy with the yellow roses because he's always helping her out when she's sad and stuff. Yeah...I should go learn their names now, ahaha.
So that's basically Tuesday gone. I must study twice as hard tomorrow to make up for today.

Term 1 2010
Term 1: -
Harder than Year 9 but manageable. I received homework from Ms. Young nearly every English lesson but I like Ms. Young teaching English. My first English Examination mark: 12/20. I was expecting something a bit better. Ah well, shouldn't ask for too much someone once told me.
Maths with Ms. Biczo is just the same as last year. I'm not topping any topic test or anything. Julia sits next to me in maths so math class goes by quicker. Julia always has the weirdest stuff to talk about ahaha.
Science with Mr. Peck. He was absent for more days than he taught our class. Not surprising if 10M gets under average for Half Yearlies. We get to do more practicals than theory so I guess that's a thumbs up...
Better teachers for History and Geography this year. Gippel for Geo and Purves for History. Geo excursion was nice. Gippel talks quite a fair bit but not as much as Purves. Ahahaha. I'm learning stuff so I won't complain.
Japanese. No idea why I chose it for my Major. I suck at it.
I HATE Photography. It's a bum because it's so damn boring. I found this really cool place next to the English Cottage. It looks like an enchanted forest. Mr. Payne teaches Photography...ahehehe.
Oh yes, and how could i forget. PE. Dancing wasn't something I liked doing. Not until after the PE Dance Assessment. I dance infront of the mirror all the time now. Teehee.
Watch my dance: -

Recess and lunchtime. I went wondering off with Julia to the toilet and to the canteen to buy 30 cent fruit icy poles and cough drops nearly everyday. Julia and I got in the Hockey Team! Yay! We're also planning to study twice a week or something at lunchtime. Homework keeps me up late at night so why not do it at lunchtime? :D Oh, Julia and I are also liking Invisible Zinc. It's sunscreen, very nice sunscreen.
Best party I've been to in my life. Kristina's party at her house. I'm not allowed to go to parties usually because of my overprotective parents, but they let this time. It was hectic! Jumping castle and blasting the radio. An old lady kept looking over the fence. It got a little scary ahahaa.
